About Lucy and Angie

About Lucille (Lucy):

Lucille Salling (1933-2001) led a life brimming with creativity and memorable experiences, from month-long family camping trips and publishing original recipes to global travels exploring diverse arts and cultures. The family's Swedish/Danish heritage enriched her lifestyle, embracing the NUTJA concept of living (see below).

In the last 20 years of her life, Lucille perfected her craft of stitchery, producing artistic and detailed pieces that showcased her love for luxurious fabrics and fine threads. She created large, mural-sized stitchery works as expressions of ministry and sold smaller, intricate pieces featured in Redbook magazine. A successful creative entrepreneur, Lucille found her greatest joy in crafting gifts for loved ones, including vests, angels, quilted creations, and framed art. Inspired by Martha Mood, her work reflected a storytelling style that celebrated artistic depth and personal touch.

About Angie:

After rediscovering her passion during a challenging time in her life, Angie combined her background in fine art and graphic design to create unique, fabric-based art pieces that reflect the essence of painting with fibers.
